Chapter 2

Meanwhile, Maria and Joseph go to the river side. They catch some fish, and Joseph tells Maria that he misses Jeremiah.

Maria told him not to worry cause if he promised to bring a tortoise, he shall keep his word at all costs.

All of a sudden, Agent Maxwell Byron appears with his enforcers, as they have all come to fish some fish, and obviously this wasn't another coincidence. Agent Byron revealed Maria that the whole family shall be investigated by the next morning. Maria asks what she's done, and Byron replies with a sadistic smile that he is not looking for her, but he wants to keep the child away from Jeremiah as an act of revenge. Jospeh calls Byron a stupid bastard for what he plans to do, and the angered agent tells the child to watch his words so he won't find himself in a children's institute.

The agent and his men go, and Maria goes to the post office and tells the mailman to give a last love letter to Jeremiah if he doesn't make it back before the investigation of the ruthless Agency.
