Chapter 1 

It all started with a 20 year old boy called Jeremiah Thompkins. He lived in a little hut with his wife Maria Thompkins and his 6 year old son, Joseph Thompkins.

Joseph wanted a birthday present, and Jeremiah promised to give him the best birthday present he could ever wish for.

Two hours later, at 7 pm during the evening, Jeremiah traveled to the mountains, as he wanted to find a tortoise and give it to Joseph, who always dreamt of having a tortoise as his pet.

However, as Jeremiah went further into the mountain zone, he noticed that someone started following him. Randall Smith walked out of the shadows of the woods and showed himself to Jeremiah, sarcastically asking if his father misses him. Jeremiah took a knife out of his pocket and aimed it at Randall, angrily telling the tyrant that Darren is now dead.

Randall remarks that he deserves it, and that the forest in which they are located is part of his territory. He warns Jeremiah that if he trespasses again, he shall take over the town and not leave Jeremiah any territory, as he shall even take his house for himself.

Jeremiah backs off and apologizes sadly to Joseph and Maria for not being a good father and for not bringing a birthday present on time. Joseph tells Jeremiah that it's okay and he still loves him, and Maria even pats his shoulder and remarks that it is not the end of the world and that she'll always love him. Jeremiah however refuses to listen and as he packs up and opens the door in order to exit his house, he tells them this..

"Don't let me into this house without my tortoise that I have promised". When the door shuts and he goes to his journey, Maria starts crying.
